Overview
My team and I re-engineered standard kitchen scissors to improve accessibility for users with limited hand and wrist mobility. By calculating the torque requirements for common kitchen tasks, we developed a custom, detachable drivetrain.
I spearheaded the electrical packaging and the mechanism for the detachable drivetrain, resulting in a fully functional prototype capable of cutting paper and soft produce.
